Positioned at a distance of 500-1000 meters from the western Crimean coast, armed with Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems, the soldiers were anticipating potential helicopter attacks by the Russians.
Russia attacks Ukraine with kamikaze drones two days in a row. Consequences reported
On the night of Saturday, November 18, the air defense forces of Ukraine shot down 29 Russian kamikaze drones. The attack lasted for 8 hours. According to military sources, a total of 38 Shahed-136/131 attack drones were detected.
During the attack on November 19, the air defense successfully intercepted 15 out of 20 Russian kamikaze drones launched. The occupiers did not deviate from their usual tactics this time.
In the attack, Russians struck an energy facility in the Odesa region during the night of November 18.
As a result, a fire broke out at the impact site. It was promptly extinguished. However, due to the Russian shelling, a civilian employee of the energy enterprise was injured and hospitalized.
