Terms of use for RBC-Ukraine information resources

(hereinafter referred to as the "Terms")

Effective as of November 1, 2023

These Terms outline the conditions that regulate the use of materials from the RBC-Ukraine information resources, which are accessible on the RBC-Ukraine website (https://rbc.ua), on the social network Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/www.rbc.ua), on the social network Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/rbc.ua), on the Telegram messenger (https://t.me/RBC_ua_news), and on the video hosting platform YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@RBCUkraine) (hereinafter referred to as the "Resource" or "Resources"), which are owned by UBT, LLC (hereinafter referred to as "We" or "Company").

General terms

To use the Resources, including RSS, API, software, and files, you must agree to comply with these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must cease using the Resources.

These Terms constitute an agreement between the User of the Resources and the Company, which is entered into at the moment of using the Resource.

The Users of the Resources must be individuals who are at least 16 years old. Certain sections or publications may be intended for individuals who are 18 or 21 years old.

The Company may make changes to these Terms at any time, and the Users must periodically review the current version of these Terms. If you disagree with the new version of the Terms, you must stop using the Resources.

The Resources must be used for lawful purposes only. It is prohibited to interfere with the operation of the Resources or obstruct other Users' access to the Resources.

Resources content

The “content” refers to any informational material created and distributed through the Resources for the Users. Content can take various forms, including text, images, videos, audio, graphics, animations, web pages, posts, blogs, podcasts, etc.

The User can read, view, or listen to the content posted on the Resources for free. Access to the Resources is provided to the Users under a non-exclusive, free license for their personal non-commercial use.

The User is prohibited from downloading and distributing content from the Resources without the consent of the copyright owner.

The User is prohibited from using trademarks, commercial names, and objects of copyright and related rights that are posted on the Resources without the owner's consent.

The User is prohibited from copying the Resources, their names, and graphic design.

When reproducing the informational material published on the RBC-Ukraine website (www.rbc.ua), partially or in full, the author's name (if available) and the source of the material must be properly attributed. Internet resources are prohibited from reproducing RBC-Ukraine informational materials without an active and search engine-accessible hyperlink to www.rbc.ua, which must be placed in the text, not further than the second paragraph.

Getty Images-labeled photographs can only be used with written permission from the Getty Images photo agency. Photographs labeled with the RBC-Ukraine logo or captioned “RBC-Ukraine” can be used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

The use of videos from the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@RBCUkraine) is only allowed with the Company's consent. Fragments of videos from the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel can be used only if the "RBC-Ukraine" logo and source link are provided: https://www.youtube.com/@RBCUkraine

The Company is not responsible for editorial judgments and the accuracy of information obtained from other sources.

The content of advertisements is the responsibility of the advertiser.

User comments

If the Resources allow the Users to leave comments on the content, such comments must adhere to the platform's requirements.

It is prohibited to disseminate false, offensive, or other information prohibited by law in the comments.

Comments must not contain advertising or be off-topic.

The Company is not responsible for User comments. The Company may, but is not obliged to, delete comments that do not comply with legal requirements.

For violations of the conditions of this section, the Company may restrict the User's access to comment on content.

The Company has the right to disable the commenting function for content.

Representations and warranties

The User should critically evaluate any advice, recommendations, or forecasts contained in the content.

The Company may make changes to the content without prior notice to the User, and it may also remove disputed content.

The Company does not guarantee that access to content on the Resources will always be available. The Company reserves the right to delete or relocate content to another Resource at any time.

The Company does not guarantee that the content from the Resource will be correctly displayed or loaded on the User's device.

Content on the Resources is provided "as it is," without any warranties from the Company. This means that the User uses the information obtained through the Resources at their own risk.

Security

The User should have antivirus software running when using the Resources.

The Company does not send emails to the Users except in response to User’s emails.

The Company does not collect User’s personal data.

If you have subscribed to receive new content notifications, you can unsubscribe from this service using the settings of the browser or platform where the Resource is hosted.

Do not share personal data in the comments under the content that could be exploited by criminals.

Communication with the Users

Communication between the User and the Resource takes place through an electronic form where all fields must be filled out: https://www.rbc.ua/rus/legacy.shtml or via the mailing address: 21/16 Hryhoriya Skovorody Street, Kyiv, 04070, Ukraine.

If you find that there is material on the Resource that infringes on your intellectual property rights, please notify us using the electronic form: https://www.rbc.ua/rus/legacy.shtml.

The Company and the Resource reserve the right not to respond to letters that do not comply with legal requirements or do not relate to the activities of the Company or the Resource.

Licenses and software

The Company does not grant any rights to the Users for the software on which the Resource operates.

Termination of access to the Resource

If technically feasible, access to the Resource may be restricted or terminated for violations of the law or these Rules by the User.

Other

Ukrainian legislation applies to these Rules. Disputes between the parties are resolved by a court under the laws of Ukraine.

Advertising and partner materials

Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy and content of the advertising.

The symbol (A) indicates material that is placed as an advertisement.

Materials found in the sections: "Press releases," "Special projects," "Company news," "Partner material," "Promo," and "Charity" are placed as advertisements and are primarily intended for individuals over 21 years of age.
