Terms of the Website use

Limited Liability Company “UBT Media” (“UBT Media” LLC), a legal entity registered at 21/16 Hryhoriia Skovorody Str., Kyiv, 04070, Ukraine, code in the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations of Ukraine: 43835235 (hereinafter referred to as the Company), offers any user of the Internet (hereinafter referred to as the User) to use the Website in accordance with the following terms (hereinafter referred to as the Terms).

  1. The Website serves as an information resource where news, articles, interviews, and other materials about Ukraine and the world are published. Access to the Website is granted under the terms of a non-exclusive free license for personal use. Some publications may require payment for access. The Website contains publications in Russian and Ukrainian languages. The Website does not have explicit age restrictions, but it may contain information not intended for minors. The term “Website” refers to both the website www.rbc.ua and its sections, such as "NEWS," "DAILY," "STYLER," "LITE", and others, as well as the Website’s pages on social networks such as Facebook (www.facebook.com/www.rbc.ua), Instagram (www.instagram.com/rbc.ua), and Telegram channel (www.t.me/RBC_ua_news).
  1. Status of the Terms
    1. The Terms constitute a public offer.
    2. The offer is deemed accepted if the User accesses the Website, visits the Website’s page on a social network, or shares a link to the Website.
    3. The User undertakes to comply with the Terms. In case of disagreement with the Terms, the User must cease using the Website.
    4. The Company reserves the right to amend the Terms at any time. The User agrees to periodically review the current version of the Terms.
  1. When using the Website, the User is prohibited from:
    1. Engaging in any unlawful actions that may impair the functionality of the Website, lead to its termination, or involve unauthorized access to any part of the Website.
    2. Insulting, harassing, or threatening other Users of the Website or authors of publications posted on the Website.
    3. Disseminating false information about the Website or authors of publications posted on the Website.
    4. Posting on the Website’s pages on social networks any information that contradicts the legislation of Ukraine, contains calls for committing crimes, offensive content, ads, spam, and comments unrelated to the topic of the publication.
    5. Sending advertising emails (spam) to the Website’s addresses.
    6. Copying the Website's design, and downloading text, photo, or video materials from the Website for further distribution.
    7. Using the Company’s trademark or trade name without permission.
    8. Impersonating another person.
    9. Illegally collecting and processing personal data of other individuals without their consent.
  1. The Company has the right to:
    1. Publish any information on the Website that does not contradict the current legislation of Ukraine.
    2. Modify Website sections and change the addresses of links to materials.
    3. Delete or restrict access to any information posted on the Website without prior notice to the User and without providing explanations.
    4. Block access of any User to the Website without prior notice and without providing explanations.

 

  1. Intellectual property
    1. The User agrees to respect the intellectual property rights of the objects posted on the Website.
    2. When reproducing materials posted on the Website, the User must indicate the author's name (if available) and the source of the material. The information should be transmitted without any changes.
    3. Photographs and images belong to their respective copyright holders.
    4. Users granting the Website a non-exclusive, indefinite, free license to publish their materials on the Website with the right to translate them into any language.
  1. Claims
    1. If the User believes that any material on the Website violates their rights, the User must send a complaint to the Company at info@rbc.ua, including the following information:
    2. the User's rights that they believe have been violated;
    3. the address where the disputed material is located;
    4. a quote of the disputed text or identification of the disputed object;
    5. evidence that the disputed material violates the User's rights.
    6. Based on the complaint, the Company may decide to satisfy it, partially satisfy it, or reject it.
  1. Responsibility
    1. The Company is not responsible for the information posted by Users in the comments on the Website's pages on social networks.
    2. The Company is not responsible for possible interruptions in the Website's operation and loss of materials posted on the Website.
    3. The information posted on the Website is not an instruction for action. The User should critically evaluate the information posted on the Internet.
    4. The Company is not responsible for publications that use information from other sources. All claims should be addressed to the source.
    5. Evaluative judgments are not subject to challenging or proving their truthfulness.
    6. The advertiser is responsible for the accuracy and content of ads.
    7. The Company is not responsible for social networks on which the Website's pages are located.
  1. Personal data
    1. By providing personal data to the Company, the User agrees to their processing.
    2. The Company protects user data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
  1. Applicable law
    1. The Website operates within the framework of Ukrainian laws and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation. All disputes shall be resolved in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.
