Oleksandra Bashchenko

Has a background in International Relations and Political Science, with a Bachelor's degree from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (2020) and a Master's degree from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (2022).

Oleksandra began her career in 2021 as a news editor at Interfax-Ukraine. Over the following years, she continued working in national media, first at UNIAN, where she edited the Ukrainian news feed. Since May 2023, has been working as a news editor and translator for the English-language news feed at RBC-Ukraine, a nationwide media outlet.

Oleksandra is deeply interested in covering political, social, and economic developments both in Ukraine and around the world. Since the outbreak of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, providing accurate, timely, and first-hand reporting on the war to international audiences has become her top priority.
