Hungary's Magyar targeted with eggs during campaign event

During Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar visit to the city of Szolnok, an unidentified individual attempted to pelt him with eggs while the politician was delivering a campaign speech, reports HVG Hu.
The attacker was subsequently detained after resisting arrest. A video of the arrest was published by Kontroll.
The footage shows two, and later four, men in plain clothes attempting to subdue the attacker. They are likely representatives of law enforcement or other government agencies.
The man was pinned to the ground after he began resisting arrest. At one point, however, he had already stated that he would not resist and would allow himself to be detained.
Journalists asked the man why he had tried to throw an egg at the politician. In response, he said, “It’s a shame it didn’t hit him in the head.”
This isn’t the first time Magyar has been attacked by a crowd. For example, just a week ago, the politician was doused with wine during a harvest festival in Szekszárd.
Hungary considers the construction of Ukrainian oil storage facilities in its country a threat and has strongly opposed it.
Magyar has many concerns regarding the implementation of the agreement that his predecessor, Viktor Orbán, signed with the Russian state-owned nuclear company Rosatom.
