The Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to inflict record losses on Russian troops in September 2026. In total, 46,230 Russians were neutralized, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The September figure became an absolute record for the entire year of 2026.

Moreover, it even surpassed the recent peak figures of the summer campaign.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also revealed the dynamics of losses in the Russian army in terms of manpower:

  • January — 31,710;
  • February — 26,090;
  • March — 31,960;
  • April — 32,980;
  • May — 33,760;
  • June — 39,290;
  • July — 42,860;
  • August — 42,020;
  • September — 46,230.

That means that over the past nine months of 2026, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have successfully neutralized 326,900 Russian invaders.

If we compare the enemy's losses in January and September, we can see that they increased by 14,520 people — or 45.8%.

As the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine explained, these enemy losses prove that the military command of the Russian army is unable to achieve its objectives on the battlefield. This is also evidence of the growing accuracy and effectiveness of fire strikes by the Defense Forces.

“Every attempt to put pressure on our positions ends for the enemy with disproportionate sanitary and irrecoverable losses. Gratitude to each and every one for their resilience and professionalism,” the General Staff concluded.
