Russian jets drop over 100 bombs on own territory since January

Since the beginning of 2025, Russian aircraft have dropped over 100 bombs on their own territory and on temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine. One of them fell right next to a boarding school, according to ASTRA.
According to the outlet's sources, at least five new incidents of Russian aerial bombs falling on Russian territory or occupied Ukrainian regions have been recorded over the past month.
Two incidents occurred in Belgorod region: a FAB-250 bomb fell in the village of Bohdanivka in the Novooskolsky district, and a FAB-500 bomb landed near a residential building in the village of Bershakove in the Shebekinsky district. There were no casualties in either case.
Two more bombs fell on occupied territory in Donetsk region: one near a residential building in Debaltseve, and another near the wall of a boarding school in Yasynuvata. Both bombs did not detonate and were neutralized.
The fifth case was recorded in the occupied village of Vysoke in Zaporizhzhia region.
In total, since the beginning of 2025, at least 100 aerial bomb drops have been recorded — 93 FAB bombs and 7 guided modular glide bombs (UMPB).
In addition, the fall of three missiles has been recorded.
Falling of Russian missiles and bombs on Russian territory
In February of this year, a Russian aircraft dropped an R-27 missile on Belgorod region. It landed near a residential building.
That same month, a Russian Kh-59 missile fell in Belgorod region. The aircraft dropped it near one of the villages in the area.
Also, at the end of January, ASTRA reported that four aerial bombs fell in a single day on temporarily occupied villages in Donetsk region. The distance between the settlements hit by the bombs was about 4 kilometers.
In January, a Russian aerial bomb fell on the house of a police major in Kursk region. The bomb did not detonate, but a crater formed at the impact site.
On May 4, 2024, a Russian aircraft dropped a FAB-500 bomb on Belgorod, injuring seven people. Russian authorities concealed the cause of the bomb's fall, as well as the fact that it was Russian.
