What is known about the strike on Mykolaiv

Russian forces struck Mykolaiv with a ballistic missile around 7:20 AM Kyiv time, triggering explosions across the city. Reports of the first casualties came shortly after.

Later, it was reported that the enemy likely struck with an Iskander-M missile carrying a cluster warhead. By 11:00 AM, one person was confirmed dead and 15 others were injured with varying degrees of severity, including one child whose condition doctors described as moderate.

The attack damaged a WOG gas station and several vehicles. Emergency responders from the State Emergency Service, chemical specialists, and explosive ordnance disposal teams arrived at the scene. To prevent a fire at the gas station, they washed spilled fuel with water and applied air-mechanical foam.

Earlier, Russian forces also attacked energy infrastructure in Sumy. A 33-year-old man was injured while defending against enemy drones and was hospitalized for treatment.

On the night of October 31, during a large-scale attack on Sumy, a Russian drone struck a multi-story building, causing a fire. A minor girl and an elderly woman were injured and received on-site medical assistance.
