Western Ukraine under attack: Fires, casualties and the aftermath of Russia's massive strike

Russia launched a large-scale air attack on various regions of Ukraine, including the western regions. Although air defense forces destroyed most of the enemy drones, at least 13 strikes were recorded.
RBC-Ukraine has collected everything known about the attack on Ukraine so far.
Kyiv region
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the Kyiv region came under attack again.
In the Boryspil district of the Kyiv region, rescuers were dealing with the aftermath of new strikes this night.
The enemy attacked a logistics warehouse facility again, where firefighters had been working to extinguish a fire the previous day.

The work involved not only rescuers from the State Emergency Service, but also firefighters from Boryspil International Airport. Work at the site is currently ongoing.

Odesa and the region
During search and rescue operations in a high-rise building that was damaged by the Russian attack the previous morning, rescuers found the body of another person.
The death toll from the strike rose to two. Another 26 people were injured, including one child, said Serhii Lysak, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
Emergency and rescue operations in the 25-story building have already been completed.
Russian forces attacked the city again overnight. The strike damaged a high-rise building, private houses, a car, two educational institutions, and infrastructure facilities.
Specialists are currently clarifying the consequences of the nighttime attack.
The air raid alert continues. Residents are urged to remain in safe places.
Kharkiv and the region
The head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration confirmed that three people were injured as a result of Russian attacks. In Staryi Saltiv, a 73-year-old woman was injured, while another 68-year-old resident was diagnosed with an acute stress reaction.

A 47-year-old man was injured in Zolochiv.
In Kharkiv, the Russians attacked the Saltivskyi and Kyivskyi districts of the city with drones.

Lviv region
The Stryi City Council said several strikes hit the community: an apartment building near the bypass road, utility and residential buildings near the railway station, and a school utility building in the Novyi Svit area.
"There are no casualties! A commission on the consequences of the strikes is being convened to work," the statement said.
Ivano-Frankivsk and the region
One person was preliminarily injured as a result of the enemy attack, said Svitlana Onyshchuk, head of the local Regional Military Administration.
"The danger has not passed! The air raid alert continues in the Ivano-Frankivsk and Kalush districts! Take care of yourselves!" she urged.
Ternopil and the region
Overnight and as of the morning of September 13, Russian drones continue to attack the region — air defense forces are operating.
Khmelnytskyi region
A fire broke out as a result of debris from an enemy drone falling on the territory of one of the enterprises in the Khmelnytskyi district, Serhii Tiurin, head of the local Regional State Administration, said.
"No information about fatalities or injuries has been received," he clarified.
Dnipropetrovsk region
Russian forces attacked two districts of the region with drones and artillery.
In Nikopol district, the district center and the Marhanets community came under attack, said Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the local Regional State Administration.
In the Chernechchyna community of Samar district, a fire broke out as a result of the attack.
According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
Chernihiv region
In the Chernihiv region, the air raid alert has continued for more than a day. As a result of Russian attacks, a man was killed, and three more people were injured.
A Russian drone attacked Horodnia. In a two-story building, windows were blown out by the blast wave, said Viacheslav Chaus, head of the Regional State Administration.

In Nizhyn, the occupiers carried out strikes with Banderols. Residential buildings, cars, and a store were damaged. A fire broke out at the site of one of the strikes and was quickly extinguished by rescuers.
In one of the villages of the Koriukivka district, an FPV drone struck a private yard. As a result of the attack, a minibus was damaged.

Another FPV drone was directed by the Russians at a civilian vehicle in the Semenivka community. The 50-year-old driver sustained shrapnel wounds and was hospitalized. Doctors provided him with the necessary medical assistance. Later, the occupiers carried out another strike, damaging cars.
In the Baturyn community of the Nizhyn district, a UAV attack was fatal for a 52-year-old man from the Sumy region. He was returning from fishing with a friend when their car was hit by drone fragments. The man was killed, while his companion was not injured.
