Ukraine under massive drone attack overnight: How many Russian targets did air defense destroy

Russian forces launched another massive attack on Ukraine overnight on September 13. This time, the enemy launched 453 aerial attack weapons, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Air Force, the enemy used:
- Shahed-type attack UAVs, including jet-powered ones;
- Gerbera drones;
- Parodiya decoy drones;
- S8000 Bandrol.
The enemy targets were launched from the following directions: Shatalovo, Orel, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia; and the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea - Hvardiiske and the waters of the Sea of Azov.
The enemy's air attack was repelled by units of Ukraine's Defense Forces. The following forces were involved in defending the skies:
- aviation;
- anti-aircraft missile forces;
- electronic warfare units;
- unmanned systems units;
- mobile fire teams.
As of 8:00 a.m., air defense had shot down or suppressed 405 enemy UAVs of various types, as well as four S8000 Bandrol drones.
At the same time, the following were recorded:
- hits by aerial attack weapons at 13 locations;
- crashes of downed targets and their debris at seven locations.
The attack is still ongoing. Enemy drones remain in Ukrainian airspace.
The Air Force urges citizens to follow safety rules and not ignore air raid alerts.
RBC-Ukraine recently reported that Canada is allocating hundreds of millions of dollars for interceptor missiles for Ukraine.
It was also reported that the European Commission approved 6.1 billion euros for Ukraine for Patriot missiles and drones.
Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently revealed how many missiles Ukraine needs to destroy Russian ballistic missiles.
