Russian attack on Konotop and start of Ukrainian pilots training on F-16 in Romania - Thursday brief
The Russian military attacked the center of Konotop in the Sumy region. Meanwhile, Ukrainian pilots began training on F-16 fighter jets in Romania.

Russian massive strike on Konotop
Russian troops massively shelled Konotop on the night of September 12. The town lost power, and 14 people were injured. Later it became known that the situation with electricity supply in Konotop after the Russian attack was critical.
Russians attacked the town with Shahed drones. The following facilities came under attack:
- energy and infrastructure facilities,
- residential high-rise buildings,
- a shop,
- a bank branch.
One of the victims is in a coma, he was on his way to help rescue people after the attack and came under drone fire.

Ukrainian pilots start training on F-16s in Romania
There will be more F-16 fighters in the Ukrainian sky. A group of Ukrainian pilots has already begun training in Romania, according to Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry issues demarche to Mongolia due to Putin's visit
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has issued a demarche to Mongolia over the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the country's refusal to arrest him.
The Ministry noted that Mongolia was informed of Ukraine's deep disappointment with its refusal, as a signatory to the Rome Statute, to execute the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant for Putin during his stay in the country.
US imposes enhanced sanctions on Russia's IT sector
The United States of America has implemented enhanced sanctions against Russia in the IT sector. Several leading companies have already announced their exit from the Russian market.
Among the new sanctions:
- Google;
- Atlassian, Jira, Trello, and Confluence;
- Notion;
- Miro;
- Microsoft;
- Slack.
Russian National Guard troops blown up at military checkpoint in Yekaterinburg
An explosion occurred near the checkpoint of a military base in the city of Yekaterinburg, resulting in the elimination of enemy personnel, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
Russian army shells Red Cross truck, casualties reported
Russian forces shelled vehicles of the International Committee of the Red Cross humanitarian mission. Three Ukrainian staff members of the ICRC were killed.
Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted.
North Korea launches ballistic missile
North Korea has launched a ballistic missile toward its eastern waters.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff reported in a brief statement that North Korea launched a ballistic missile on Thursday morning, though no further details were provided.
This marks North Korea’s first weapons test in over two months, occurring just three days after North Korean leader Kim Jong Un vowed to intensify efforts to fully prepare his nuclear forces for combat against the US and its allies.
