Russian forces massively attacked Dnipro with drones overnight on April 23. As of this morning, the number of injured has increased again, and there are also fatalities, according to the Telegram of the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha.

"Two people have been killed, eight have been injured. The number of victims of the Russian night attack on Dnipro has increased," the statement reads.

Oleksandr Hanzha added that one person still hasn't made contact.

What is known about the attack on Dnipro

As RBC-Ukraine reported, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said several groups of Russian strike drones were heading toward Dnipro overnight.

As a result of the Russian attack, residential buildings in the city were damaged. Specifically, an enemy drone flew directly into a multi-story building, causing several apartments to catch fire.

Later, it was reported that a car and a store also caught fire in the city. Moreover, fires broke out in several districts of Dnipro.

Shortly after the attack, the regional military administration reported that there were injured people. At least two of them are children — girls aged 9 and 14.

Other attacks on Dnipro

For context, on the night of April 16, Russia carried out another combined strike on Ukraine. Dnipro also came under enemy attack, damaging office and administrative buildings, residential houses, an enterprise, and cars.

Among the damaged structures was the Art Museum building.

We also reported that another Russian attack on Dnipro occurred on April 10. At that time, at least 8 multi-story buildings were damaged in the city as a result of the enemy strikes.
