Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine with strike drones overnight. Port and transportation infrastructure were targeted, and there are casualties.

What Russia struck with
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of April 22, Russia attacked Ukraine with 215 strike drones from seven directions, about 140 of which were Shaheds.
Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or neutralized 189 Russian drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine. Additionally, 24 strike drones were recorded hitting 13 locations, and debris was found at 6 locations.
Odesa and region
"Last night, Russia again launched a massive attack on the Odesa region with strike drones. Port infrastructure came under fire," says Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
According to him, despite active air defense operations, damage to port facilities was recorded. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Rescue workers quickly extinguished the resulting fires. Work to address the aftermath is ongoing.

Kharkiv region
"Russians struck an agricultural enterprise in the village of Velykyi Burluk. The attack caused a fire in an administrative building covering an area of 100 square meters," the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.
There were no casualties, and rescue workers were on the scene.

Dnipro
"Russia attacked Dnipro. Several fires broke out. Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties," says Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

Zaporizhzhia
Russian troops attacked the railway in Zaporizhzhia overnight. According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, one man was killed as a result of the Russian strike on the transport infrastructure. Another person was injured.

Sumy region
"Overnight, the enemy launched a massive strike on a village in the Yampil community; Russian UAVs hit residential buildings. Fires broke out at the sites of the strikes," says Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
According to him, unfortunately, the body of a deceased civilian was found in one of the houses. The person’s identity is being established.
On April 21, the Russians launched 725 strikes on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district. Two people were killed, and ten others were wounded. Russians cynically targeted residential areas with drones and artillery.
