In just one day, Russian occupying forces carried out 725 strikes on Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding district. Two people were killed, and ten others were injured, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

A total of 39 settlements came under fire. The attackers used their full arsenal — from aerial bombs to attack drones. Local authorities are still assessing the aftermath of the strikes.

According to Fedorov, the occupiers have shifted tactics, now placing primary emphasis on drones.

Breakdown of strikes by weapon type:

  • 495 kamikaze drones (mostly FPV) targeted Zaporizhzhia, Vilniansk, Huliaipole, and more than 20 villages;
  • 18 airstrikes hit Orikhiv, Malokaterynivka, and other locations;
  • 206 artillery strikes hit Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, and frontline communities;
  • 6 MLRS strikes were recorded near Zaliznychne and Myrne.

Frontline areas have suffered the most from enemy UAV attacks. Zaporizhzhia and Vilniansk were also hit by a massive wave of drones of various types.

Damage to civilian infrastructure and housing

Residential buildings and vehicles were damaged in the attacks. Law enforcement and emergency services received 153 reports of destruction, Fedorov said.

Private homes, apartment buildings, critical infrastructure, and civilian vehicles were all affected.

Emergency services are working at the strike sites, and cleanup efforts are ongoing. The injured are receiving all necessary medical care.
