NATO Secretary General arrives in Kyiv and meets with Zelenskyy
On Thursday, October 3, the new NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte arrived in Ukraine on a working visit. He has already met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Rutte is currently holding a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Romania delivers Patriot system to Ukraine
Romania has delivered the promised Patriot system to Ukraine as part of military assistance, stated the spokesperson of Romania's Ministry of Defense, Constantin Spînu, in a comment to Radio Free Europe.
"We confirm that the Patriot system has arrived in Ukraine," Spînu stated.
Yesterday, on October 2, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude on his X to all the countries supporting Ukraine's air defense.
Ukrainian defense forces hit Russian Nebo-M radar with ATACAMS missiles - General Staff
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have successfully struck a Russian Nebo-M radar station. Targeting this system is notably challenging, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to military sources, its destruction significantly diminishes the Russian army's ability to detect, track, and intercept aerodynamic and ballistic targets.
Drones attack Borisoglebsk airfield with bombs warehouses and jets in Russia
On the night of October 3, drones attacked an airfield in Russia's Voronezh region. There are Russian warehouses with combat aircraft and parking lots for Su-35 and Su-34 aircraft, according to Security Service of Ukraine sources.
Thus, the sources confirmed that at night, drones of the Security Service of Ukraine, as well as the Special Forces Operation and other defense forces of Ukraine, attacked warehouses with cockpits, parking lots of SU-35 and SU-34 aircraft, as well as aviation fuel storage facilities at the Borisoglebsk military airfield in the Voronezh region of Russia. Israel likely targets Russian airbase in Syria: Bild reveals intent
Israel likely struck the Russian airbase Khmeimim, located in Syria. The target could have been weapons intended for Hezbollah, according to Bild.
The agency reminds that there were strong explosions near the only Russian airbase in Syria last night. Israel may have destroyed weapons that Iran was planning to deliver to Hezbollah via the Russian airbase.
"The reason for the attacks was the cargo it was carrying disguised as humanitarian aid for the Lebanese," clarified the interlocutor.
Journalists also specify that there is an alternative version - weapons for Hezbollah could have been destroyed 700 meters from the Russian airbase, where they were stored after delivery. At the same time, Russia likely attempted to intercept the missiles but was unsuccessful.
