In the early hours of October 3, drones attacked an airfield in the Voronezh region. A satellite image of the military site after the strikes appeared online, according to Radio Svoboda.

The satellite image shows several new fire marks near the runaway, though the buildings appear undamaged.

Sources from RBC-Ukraine report that the airfield was attacked by the Security Service of Ukraine drones. The facility was used to store guided aerial bombs and housed Su-35 and Su-34 aircraft, as well as aviation fuel storage.

"Authorities in the Voronezh region and the Russian Ministry of Defense only reported intercepted drones and damage to residential buildings," Radio Svoboda noted.

Background

Earlier today, reports emerged that drones had attacked the airfield in the Voronezh region, where Russian stockpiles of guided bombs and aircraft parking areas for Su-35 and Su-34 jets are located. Photos and videos of the attack were posted online.

Satellite monitoring recorded four areas of fire on the territory of Borisoglebsk.
