Bloomberg reveals how many countries would send troops to Ukraine once war ends

After a meeting at the White House between European officials and US President Donald Trump, about 10 countries are ready to send troops to Ukraine, reports Bloomberg.
As the outlet writes, after Trump provided guarantees, European leaders are eager to take advantage of this proposal - particularly to strengthen Ukraine’s position ahead of a possible meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to Bloomberg’s sources, the officials’ meeting focused on a plan to send British and French troops to Ukraine as part of a peace agreement, including the number and positions of military personnel, the people said.
“About 10 countries would be ready to send forces to the war-battered nation, they said on condition of anonymity,” Bloomberg reports.
However, for now, the nature of any US support remains unclear.
“When it comes to security, they’re willing to put people on the ground. We’re willing to help them with things, especially — probably you could talk about by air, because there’s nobody that has the kind of stuff we have, really they don’t have. But I don’t think it’s going to be a problem,” Trump said earlier in an interview with Fox News.
In the coming days, European military officials will meet with their American counterparts to discuss reliable security guarantees and prepare for the deployment of security forces in the event of a ceasefire.
The talks will involve NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, as well as the defense ministers of member states, sources familiar with the matter said.
Security guarantees
Regarding US involvement, the White House does not rule out that the US could provide Ukraine with air support as part of security guarantees. The Trump administration called this an option and a possibility.
In particular, Trump emphasized that Washington would take part in security guarantees, but the main role would be played by European countries. However, he ruled out the possibility of sending American troops to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the Coalition of the Willing announced its readiness to deploy deterrence forces in Ukraine. The coalition will also send its military planners to the US for consultations. And after the meeting in Washington on August 18, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the details of the guarantees are expected to be finalized within 10 days.
