Last night, Russian forces launched a missile and drone strike on Chernihiv and the surrounding region. As a result of the shelling, fires broke out at various locations in the region, and a building in the regional center was damaged, reports the State Emergency Service.

According to the rescuers, the missile and drone strike in the Chernihiv region during the night caused several hits in different districts, resulting in fires.

Additionally, the rescuers noted that Chernihiv city itself was also hit by the enemy attack, and as a result, a building was damaged.

"Information about casualties is being clarified," the rescuers’ statement says.

According to the State Emergency Service, fires were recorded in warehouse facilities and non-residential buildings in the Chernihiv region.

"The largest fire covered over 1,000 square meters. Fifteen rescuers, 4 units of equipment, and resources from local enterprises were involved," the rescuers reported.

Additionally, a coal storage hangar and a non-residential building caught fire separately.
