President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will arrive in Berlin for a visit on Friday, October 12, according to DPA and Bild.
As Bild reports, Zelenskyy will meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin and present him with Ukraine's victory plan in the war with Russia.
It is also reported that Zelenskyy intends to meet with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier for confidential talks.
The Ukrainian President's visit to Berlin was most likely planned in connection with the Ramstein meeting of leaders scheduled for October 12. However, it was postponed.
Ramstein was postponed
The Ramstein meeting was planned for October 12, with US President Joe Biden expected to chair it. However, the American leader postponed his visit due to the approaching Hurricane Milton in the US.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz expressed concern over President Biden's decision to delay his visit to Germany. He emphasized that the meeting with the American leader "would have been very important", and preparations for it had been made "on all sides."
Today, the media reported that the Ramstein meeting, which was scheduled for October 12, has been postponed. A new date is being determined.
Later, the German government confirmed that the Ramstein meeting would not take place on October 12. The meeting of the leaders of the UK, the US, France, and Germany has also been postponed.
