US Army Secretary Daniel P. Driscoll may visit Russia to continue discussions on the plan to end the war in Ukraine, following talks in Geneva, CBS reports.

"Another possible outcome of the negotiations in Geneva is that Army Secretary Dan Driscoll could travel to Russia," the channel noted, citing a US official.

CBS also reported that Driscoll's meeting with Russian officials could take place at another venue.

Russian officials told the channel that such a meeting is not currently planned.

US peace plan

On Sunday, November 23, Ukrainian and American officials met in Geneva to discuss the US peace plan. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the team of US President Donald Trump is beginning to hear from Ukraine.

Marco Rubio said the meeting was very productive. According to the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Andriy Yermak, the meeting was very good.

Today, November 24, the Financial Times reported that the US peace plan had been reduced by almost one-third. The document now contains 19 points, down from the original 28.

The updated version of the peace plan will not include a limit on the size of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, the provision on amnesty for crimes committed during the full-scale war in Ukraine will be removed.

Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi said that the most sensitive issues will be discussed personally by Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump.
