Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 18: +1,210 troops and 55 artillery systems

Russian forces sustained new personnel and equipment losses over the past 24 hours, according to Ukraine's military.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to August 18, 2026, are estimated to be:
- Personnel - nearly 1,469,970 (+1,210)

- Armored fighting vehicles ‒ 25,162 (+7)
- Special equipment ‒ 4,547 (+7)

Frontline situation
Ukrainian forces struck several key Russian military targets in Crimea and the Kherson region overnight, including drone storage, launch, control and relay facilities. Ukraine’s Defense Ministry also reported that every $1 spent on strikes against Russian targets in June resulted in nearly $5 in Russian losses. Meanwhile, Russian forces continued offensive operations along several front-line sectors but made no confirmed advances, according to ISW.
