UN Security Council to meet on Russia's attacks on Ukraine

Today, Monday, April 20, the UN Security Council will hold a meeting to discuss the latest Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities, according to Ukrinform.
The Security Council Secretariat reported that the request to hold the meeting came from Ukraine after Russia carried out a combined attack on Dnipro and other cities on April 14.
Among the countries that supported Kyiv’s request are Denmark, France, Greece, Latvia, Liberia, and the United Kingdom. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
Preliminary reports are expected to be delivered by the Assistant Secretary-General for the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific, Khaled Khiari, and the Deputy Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Joyce Msuya.
Russian strikes on Ukraine
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on the night of April 14, the Russians launched 4 missiles and 129 drones at Ukraine.
Later, during the day, the Russians struck Dnipro with ballistic missiles. The strike shattered windows in stores, damaged cars, and caused other damage.
In addition, Chernihiv came under Russian attack several times during the day. During one of the Russian attacks, a Russian drone struck an administrative building in the city center. Later in the evening, there was another attack, leaving several thousand people without power.
Moreover, a day later, on the night of April 16, the Russians carried out a combined strike on Ukraine with drones and various types of missiles for the attacks. Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odesa, and other cities came under Russian fire.
