In Chernihiv, one of Shahed drones hit an administrative building in the city center, according to the head of Chernihiv City Military Administration Dmytro Bryzhynskyi and the press service of Chernihiv City Council.

What happened

According to Bryzhynskyi, air defense was heard operating in Chernihiv in the morning. It was working against Shahed drones that were flying toward the city.

Later, it became known that one of them hit the administrative building.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported danger.

"Unmanned aerial vehicle heading toward Chernihiv from the east," the Air Force warned at 9:19.

Unfortunately, there were consequences.

"One of the Shahed drones hit an administrative building in the city center," the statement said. However, city authorities did not specify which administrative building.

Later, the City Military Administration clarified that there were no casualties as a result of the attack.

"There are no injured people. As a result of the explosion, windows in the administrative building were blown out and doors were damaged," the statement said.

Chernihiv City Council clarified that the strike occurred in the city center in the area where administrative buildings are located.

"Damage to administrative building and multi-apartment residential building has been recorded, including broken windows," the City Council said.

Chernihiv is under almost daily attacks. Yesterday, April 13, Russia attacked an energy facility in the Chernihiv region. As a result of the strike, thousands of subscribers were left without electricity.

Meanwhile, advisor to Minister of Defense Serhii Beskrestnov (callsign Flash) warns that Russia has started using a new tactic against air defense.

In particular, when one drone distracts the unit while another attacks mobile fire groups. This is no longer an isolated case.
