Tammy Bruce, US Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, called on states to stop any assistance to Russia that enables it to continue the war against Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.

The statement was made during a United Nations Security Council meeting.

During her speech, the diplomat said that several states are providing Moscow with assistance that prolongs the war. According to her, this includes China, North Korea, Iran, and Cuba.

She said that support from third countries remains one of the reasons the conflict continues despite Russia’s significant losses.

“But make no mistake, President Donald Trump is committed to peace prevailing. His actions, public statements, and global leadership mission make clear his determination to put an end to the carnage,” Bruce said, adding, “I should say one reason why the conflict continues to grind on.”

Separate statement about China’s role

Bruce also separately addressed China's role, saying it remains a key supplier to Russia’s military industry.

“China remains the decisive enabler of Russia’s war industrial machine… If China truly wants peace, it should immediately end the export of dual-use goods and stop purchasing Russian oil,” Bruce stated.

Accusations of arms supply

The diplomat also said that North Korea supplies Russia with ammunition and ballistic missiles, as well as sends its military personnel. According to her, Iran transfers drones and technologies for their production.

In addition, Bruce noted that in 2025, Cuba also began providing Russia with military personnel and signed new defense agreements with Moscow and Belarus.

Call to stop supporting the war

The US calls on all member states of the United Nations to stop any support that allows this terrible war to continue, causing devastating damage to people and threatening global peace and security, she emphasized.

She also stressed that ending the conflict is possible only through diplomatic means.

“We once again call on both parties to stay at the negotiation table and, in the spirit of flexibility, compromise, and the duty to protect and preserve the lives of their own citizens, put an end to this barbaric war once and for all,” said the deputy permanent representative.

The Slovak opposition parliamentary party Freedom and Solidarity (Sloboda a Solidarita) intends to file a criminal complaint with the prosecutor’s office over the decision of Prime Minister Robert Fico to stop emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine. The party believes that this decision requires legal assessment and plans to seek a review by law enforcement authorities.

Ukraine is actively expanding the use of drone interceptors to counter Russian unmanned aerial vehicles. According to available data, such weapons already help neutralize about one in three strike drones launched by Russia against Ukrainian territory.
