Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova said that the Ukrainian side had met with Trump's special envoy for the Russian-Ukrainian war, Keith Kellogg. The parties had a thorough discussion.

According to Markarova, this will not be their first meeting, but the first since General Keith Kellogg was officially appointed to the special envoy post. The appointment took place on Monday, February 3.

"Not our first meeting with General Keith Kellogg, but the first in his official capacity as Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, to which President Trump appointed him on February 3. We had a thorough discussion with the special envoy and his team and my colleagues - the head of the ODA (Office of the Defense Attaché - ed.), General Kremenetskyi, and his deputy, Denys Sienik," the statement reads.

Kellogg's visit to Kyiv

According to RBC-Ukraine's sources in the Ukrainian President's Office, US Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg plans to visit Ukraine on February 20. His visit is to follow the Munich Security Conference, which will be held from February 14 to 16.

Kellogg recently announced that he intends to discuss with allies at the conference the issue of ending the war in Ukraine.

Bloomberg, citing sources, wrote that Trump's special envoy may present the White House administration's plan to end the Russian-Ukrainian war during this meeting. However, in an interview with Newsmax, Kellogg denied this information.

Also in an interview with Fox News, he said that the Trump administration believes that in resolving the war in Ukraine, it is necessary to understand the position of all parties. Only then can concessions be made.
