Munich Security Conference 2025

The Munich Security Conference has been held in the Bavarian capital every winter since 1963, with occasional exceptions. It is positioned as the world's most influential meeting of experts in security policy.

This year, the conference will be held from February 14 to 16. About 60 heads of state and government, as well as 150 ministers and leaders of international organizations, are expected to participate. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, and President of the European Council António Costa have confirmed their attendance.

Talks about Ukraine-Russia negotiations

Recently, Ukraine's Western partners have increasingly raised the issue of possible negotiations with Russia, especially after Donald Trump's victory in the US elections.

However, there are currently no peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.

At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that a return to the negotiation table is possible only after strengthening Ukraine's position. He also mentioned that Ukraine does not rule out a diplomatic path to ending the war, but peace must be established on Ukrainian terms.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump announced that he is holding "very serious talks" with Russia about ending the war in Ukraine. In particular, Trump instructed Special Envoy Keith Kellogg to end the war in Ukraine within 100 days.
