Long-range drones from the SBU Alpha Special Operations Center hit the Ust-Luga port oil terminal in Leningrad region, Russia, for the second time in a week, according to the SBU press service.
According to reports, last night Alpha drones successfully targeted the infrastructure of the Ust-Luga port oil terminal in Leningrad region.
The attack caused serious damage and a fire.
This is a key Russian seaport on the Baltic, used for oil exports, including shipments via the so-called shadow fleet.
The SBU, together with the Defense Forces, continues systematic operations to reduce the enemy's financial and logistical capabilities.
"All oil facilities are essentially part of Russia’s military-industrial complex and provide funds to the Russian budget, which are used to finance the war against Ukraine. Special operations countering this will continue. Russia will pay a high price for its aggression," emphasized acting SBU chief Yevhen Khmara.
Strikes on Russia's oil and gas infrastructure
On March 28, reports emerged of an attack on the Yaroslavl refinery, strategically important for supplying fuel to Russian troops.
This followed a March 26 strike on the Kirishi refinery in Leningrad region, one of Russia’s three largest refineries, which caused a major fire.
Additionally, on March 23, Ukrainian forces hit the Transneft – Primorsk port oil terminal and the Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim refinery, disrupting both export and internal processing capabilities of the enemy.
