Zelenskyy: Ukraine will find way to counter jet-powered Shaheds

Ukraine requires joint arms production with partners to counter Russian jet-powered drones, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
The head of state stressed that Ukraine has unique experience and expertise in protecting critical infrastructure. According to him, Ukrainian operator teams have already helped partners in the Middle East during massive attacks by sharing their technologies.
The president noted that Russia has begun equipping drones with jet engines, making them significantly faster. He said Ukraine does not yet have enough systems to destroy such targets, but work on solutions is already underway.
"We already have over 60 companies working on this, and we will solve this issue, but we need time for this," Zelenskyy said.
The president stressed that the problem is not only a lack of technology but also funding needed to produce thousands of drones capable of intercepting Russian UAVs.
"That is why we are sharing our knowledge, our technologies, but you also need to work every day. That is why we are talking about co-production, about production lines in other countries," the president stated.
