Tusk: Poland expects Russian attacks on border crossings

Poland expects its border crossings with Ukraine to be attacked by Russia. This is because the aggressor country continues to strike trade routes, according to a statement by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Reuters reports.
Russia will attack border crossings in Poland
On the night of September 10, Poland prevented the threat of a Russian attack on one of its border crossings. This occurred on the border with Ukraine, Tusk said.
"Last night, thanks to cooperation between our services and their Ukrainian counterparts, a direct threat to one of the border crossings was averted," he said.
On September 9, Russian drones had already struck a border crossing between Ukraine and Moldova. Two people were killed in the southern Odesa region.
"As you know, Russia has already resorted to provocative attacks on border crossings - for instance, in Moldova. We expect similar actions targeting border crossings with Ukraine in other countries, including Poland," Tusk clarified.
Tusk's warning
Tusk has repeatedly warned that Eastern European countries must be prepared for potential provocations by Russia.
On Thursday, he said he had received a "fairly precise report directly from the CIA regarding possible events in the coming months - aligning with what I have been saying and warning about for months."
"We must anticipate various scenarios; both Poland and all of Europe need to be prepared for different possibilities concerning the situation not only on the Russian-Ukrainian front but also along the EU’s eastern flank," the politician said.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that on the night of September 9, Russia attacked the Starokozache international border crossing with strike drones on the border with Moldova. There were deaths and injuries among civilians who were nearby.
In addition, Tusk is convinced that the fire at a drone-component manufacturing plant in the city of Skarżysko-Kamienna was deliberate arson and an act of sabotage. He said the coming weeks and months would be difficult.
