Overnight on September 9, Russia attacked the Starokozache international checkpoint on the border with Moldova using strike drones, according to the Telegram channel of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Unmanned vehicles hit the checkpoint's infrastructure and adjacent territory, resulting in fires.
There are casualties and injuries among the civilian population that was nearby.
Processing of citizens and vehicles in this border direction has been temporarily suspended. The Moldovan side has already been informed about the situation.
This is not the first Russian attack on border infrastructure in the Odesa region - previously, the enemy already attacked the Orlivka checkpoint on the border with Romania, as a result of which the checkpoint temporarily ceased operations.
