Ukrainian forces have attacked strategic Russian energy facilities, the Transneft–Port Primorsk oil terminal, and the Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim oil refinery, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine's (SBU) sources.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the Transneft – Primorsk Port oil terminal. According to preliminary reports, both the tank farm and the oil loading infrastructure were hit.

A fire on the facility’s grounds has also been confirmed. Approximately 60 million tons of oil pass through the Primorsk port annually.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine also struck the Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim oil refinery in Ufa; a fire on the plant’s grounds has been confirmed.

The Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim oil refinery is a key link in the fuel supply chain for the Russian armed forces. Its crude oil processing capacity is approximately 6–8 million tons per year. The refinery is located 1,400 km from the border with Ukraine.

What SBU says

The SBU, together with the Ukrainian Defense Forces, struck the oil terminal at the port of Primorsk, a key Russian export hub on the Baltic Sea.

This is the largest Russian oil port on the Baltic Sea and a key export hub. A significant portion of oil shipments to foreign markets passes through it, including via the shadow fleet. In 2025 alone, over 46.6 million tons of oil were transshipped through it.

A fire broke out on the oil terminal grounds following the attack. Tanks containing oil and petroleum products are burning. Local authorities confirmed the strike and the fire and are currently evacuating personnel.

Destruction of Russian air defense systems

The Ukrainian Armed Forces also attacked Russia’s air defense systems, the Tor anti-aircraft missile system, and the 2S6 Tunguska self-propelled anti-aircraft gun. Additionally, Ukrainian forces struck the Nebo-U radar station in the Suponevo area of the Bryansk region of Russia.

In addition, Russian logistics facilities were struck, including a fuel and lubricants depot, as well as an ammunition depot, a logistics depot, and a rocket and artillery weapons depot in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region.

A drone storage facility near Staromykhailivka and storage facilities for Shahed-type drones in Makiivka, Donetsk region, were also targeted.

Drones struck an oil terminal in Russia's Krasnodar region. The target was a major Russian export terminal near the port of Taman.

In the Russian city of Saratov, a fire at an oil refinery has been burning for two days. On the night of March 21, the facility was attacked by Ukrainian drones.
