Ukraine-Russia talks could resume soon as new meeting takes shape

A new meeting between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations could take place in September as part of negotiations to end the war, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov said in a comment to Novyny.LIVE.
According to him, the negotiation track is currently on pause, but there are plans to "revive" it.
The next developments could take place as early as September.
Asked whether this meant a meeting between Ukrainian and Russian negotiators, Budanov replied: "I hope so, yes. And with the Americans too. We can't do without them," the head of the Presidential Office said.
Negotiations between Ukraine and Russia
Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the United States had received new proposals from Ukraine to end the war with Russia.
Moscow said it was ready to resume peace talks, but on one condition.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia was allegedly ready for peace dialogue with Ukraine. However, he once again repeated his position that he was willing to talk only based on the realities on the ground.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry said it was already expecting the first visit by US President Donald Trump's team to Kyiv.
A few days ago, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine and its international partners had developed three key proposals for ending the war with Russia, which had already been agreed with the American and European sides.
In particular, the proposals include a ceasefire, the creation of a free economic zone, as well as guarantees from the EU and NATO.
Zelenskyy also noted that the diplomatic "window of opportunity" for ending the war would last from the G20 summit in December until the end of summer 2027.
