Shahed drones strike critical infrastructure in Lviv region

In the morning of February 8, explosions were heard in Lviv region amid a Shahed drone attack. Russian forces attempted to target critical infrastructure, according to the Telegram channel of the head of Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytsky.
"During today’s air raid alert, the enemy again tried to attack critical infrastructure facilities in Lviv region. Thanks to our defenders, they did not succeed," Kozytsky said.
According to him, there were no casualties or injuries reported so far. Relevant services are working at the sites.
Earlier, the head of the administration had warned that the explosions in the region were caused by air defense forces targeting enemy drones.
The Ukrainian Air Force also reported drone movements toward Lviv.
Shelling of Ukraine
It should be recalled that on the night of February 8, Russia attacked Ukraine with 101 strike drones from five directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down 69 enemy UAVs.
Meanwhile, 32 strike drones hit 13 locations, and debris fell in one additional location.
Late on February 7, Russian occupation forces once again attacked civilians in Kherson. The city's Korabelnyi district came under a massive strike from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Three women sustained injuries of varying severity.
At dawn on February 8, Russian forces struck Kramatorsk in Donetsk region. The attack left one person dead and others injured, and damaged residential buildings.
The Zaporizhzhia region also endured one of the most intense drone attacks in recent times.
