Witkoff and Kushner bring proposal to end war to Kyiv and Moscow - Trump

US President's special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are bringing a proposal to end the war to Ukraine and Russia, Donald Trump said this during a press conference.
"They're (Witkoff and Kushner) bringing with them a proposal to end the war," the US president said.
He said he had sent "wonderful negotiators", Witkoff and Kushner, to find out whether there was a possibility to achieve something, and suggested that "there's a good chance that we will."
"Look, I resolved eight wars. Most of them, in my opinion, should have been more difficult than Russia-Ukraine. There is a problem of a personal nature in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. You have President Zelenskyy and President Putin — they genuinely hate each other," the US president said.
According to him, there is "serious hatred" between the Ukrainian president and the Russian leader, which "gets in their way." He also claimed that Ukraine and Russia allegedly lost 32,000 people last week.
Trump also once again said that he had ended eight wars and expressed hope that people were proud of him. In addition, Trump noted that he had received no recognition for it.
"Did I get the Nobel Prize? No. Although the person that got it was nice enough that she gave it to me. She said, 'Nobody in the history of the Nobel Prize deserves it more than you,'" the US leader said.
Bloomberg reported that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner intend to restart talks in Moscow on ending Russia's war against Ukraine. At the same time, expectations for possible progress remain minimal.
On the evening of September 4, Zelenskyy said that after their visit to Moscow, Witkoff and Kushner would travel to Ukraine on Sunday. According to him, Kyiv wants to make their visit "as constructive and substantive as possible."
