Shahed attack on Kyiv region: One victim reported, consequences clarified

In the Kyiv region, in the Bucha district, as a result of a Russian airstrike using strike drones last night, one person has been confirmed dead. The body was retrieved while firefighters were extinguishing a blaze in a building after the attack, states the head of the Kyiv regional military administration, Mykola Kalashnyk.
"The body of the deceased was found during the firefighting efforts in a two-story private house in the Bucha district. My condolences to the family and loved ones," the official wrote on his Telegram channel.
He added that the fire had been extinguished over an area of 200 square meters.
In addition, the head of the Kyiv regional military administration reported that in another settlement in the Bucha district, a girl born in 2005 was hospitalized with a wound to the back of her head.
A man born in 1981 sustained an injury to his right hand but was not hospitalized. Both received medical assistance.
"According to preliminary information, as a result of the enemy's attack in the Bucha district, five private houses were damaged, windows in apartments of four multi-story residential buildings were shattered, two garages were destroyed, three cars were destroyed, and eight were damaged," the head of the Kyiv regional military administration stated.
The official added that operational teams are continuing efforts to document and eliminate the consequences of the enemy's night attack.

Updated: Clarifications from the State Emergency Service, footage on the aftermath
Later, the State Emergency Service reported that due to the Russian attack, fires, destruction, and casualties occurred.
In Kriukivshchyna, Bucha district, drone wreckage caused a fire in a private house (200 square meters). The fire was extinguished at 01:54. The body of the deceased was found at the scene.
In the city of Bucha, drone debris set a car on fire - one was destroyed, and eight were damaged. Additionally, five houses, two garages, and windows in a high-rise building were damaged.

Night drone attack
As reported earlier, the evening before, Russian occupiers launched attack drones on Ukraine, prompting air raid alerts in several regions due to the threat of Shahed drones.
It was also reported that air defense systems were active in several districts of Kyiv due to hostile kamikaze drones. Shahed drones were also intercepted in the Kyiv region.
Later, it became known that in the Bucha district of the Kyiv region, a Russian attack drone hit a residential building, causing a fire. At the time, it was reported that a 19-year-old girl had been injured in this district as a result of the attack.
Additionally, Russian attack drones targeted Kharkiv, with hits in two districts. One of the kamikaze drones struck a multi-story building, and it has been confirmed that two people were injured. According to the regional prosecutor's office, the enemy attack in Kharkiv caused damage to residential buildings, and a restaurant building, and resulted in casualties.
