Russian strike sparks massive fire near Ukrainian Kharkiv, leaves one dead

On the afternoon of July 30, the village of Vasyshcheve in Kharkiv district came under Russian attack. A civilian facility was hit, sparking a large fire and resulting in one fatality, according to the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov.
As a result of the Russian attack, one person was killed. It is also known that four people were injured, three of whom were hospitalized, the statement said.
According to Syniehubov, the strike hit the territory of an enterprise with a total area of 30,000 square meters.
The fire engulfed warehouse premises of about 20,000 square meters, where only civilian goods were stored, including food products. Due to flammable structures, the fire spread very quickly.
Rescuers from the State Emergency Service localized the fire. During the firefighting efforts, two firefighters were injured: one suffered carbon monoxide poisoning and heat stroke, the other sustained burns.
More than 100 rescuers, nearly 50 units of equipment, and a fire train were involved in the aftermath response. Emergency services and law enforcement are working at the scene.
As the head of the Regional Military Administration added, the type of weapon used in the strike is currently being identified.
