Russians hit a training ground of one of the mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Army with a missile. As a result of the Russian strike, there were killed and wounded, according to the command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the command, Russia conducted strikes when military personnel were being trained at the range. Upon receiving the air raid alert, security measures were taken in time to avoid numerous casualties.

"However, unfortunately, there are some killed and wounded. All the victims are being promptly provided with all the necessary qualified assistance in medical facilities," the statement says.

As of 5:27 p.m. Kyiv time, the command was aware of 3 killed and 11 wounded.

Ukrainian Land Forces Command is already investigating all the circumstances of the tragedy. A special commission has been set up for this purpose, and law enforcement agencies are working at the scene.

"At the same time, additional security measures are being taken to preserve the lives and health of servicemen in case of repeated Russian missile and air strikes," the command emphasizes.

Russian strikes on training grounds and centers

This is not the first time that the Russian occupiers have attacked the training grounds and training centers of the Armed Forces with missiles.

In early June, the Russians hit the 239th training ground in the Dnipropetrovsk region with an Iskander. According to the Ukrainian Land Forces, the Russian attack killed 12 people and injured over 60 others.

A few days later, a training ground in the Poltava region was hit by Russian ballistic missiles. 2 people were injured in the Russian attack but died in the hospital.

In addition, in May, Russia attacked a shooting range in the Sumy region, killing and injuring Ukrainian military.

Against the backdrop of Russian strikes, the then commander of the Ukrainian Land Forces, Mykhailo Drapatyi, resigned. The President of Ukraine later accepted it, but transferred Drapatyi to command the Joint Forces.
