Two wounded soldiers die after Russian missile strike on training ground in Poltava region

Two individuals wounded in the recent Russian missile strike on a military training ground in the Poltava region have died from their injuries in the hospital, Volodymyr Kohut, Head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration reports.
"According to updated information from the Ukrainian Ground Forces, unfortunately, doctors were unable to save the lives of two people injured in the enemy attack on a training ground. My sincere condolences to the families and loved ones. Eternal memory to the fallen," the statement says.
Strike on training ground in Poltava region
On June 4, an explosion occurred near Poltava during an air raid alert and a ballistic missile threat.
Later, the Ukrainian Ground Forces confirmed that a Russian missile targeted a training center in the region. Several people were wounded and hospitalized.
The Ground Forces added that preemptive safety measures helped save the lives of military personnel who were present at the training ground during the attack. A special commission has been set up to investigate the incident and assess the damage.
Previous attack on training ground in Dnipropetrovsk region
Just last week, Russia launched an Iskander missile strike on the 239th training ground in the Dnipropetrovsk region. According to the Ground Forces, 12 people were killed and over 60 wounded in that attack.
Following the tragedy, the Commander of Ukraine's Ground Forces, General Mykhailo Drapatyi, submitted his resignation.
