Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Mykhailo Drapatyi as Commander of the Joint Forces. He will focus on the front line, stated Zelenskyy in his evening address.

"Mykhailo Drapaty will focus exclusively on combat matters and has been appointed Commander of the Joint Forces to be 100% engaged with the front. Regarding the Ground Forces system, especially tasks like training, preparation, changes in the Territorial Recruitment Centers, and everything related to that, a different person will be responsible," the President emphasized.

Shortly before the announcement, Drapatyi had shared details about a meeting with Zelenskyy, during which they discussed, among other topics, the Russian strike on a military training ground in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

"I received a new assignment from the President. I remain in service. On the front line. Where I need to be. Where I can do the most," Drapatyi stressed.
