On December 12, Russian troops attacked a sports school in Shostka, Sumy region, with drones while children were training there. There were no casualties, according to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy regional military administration.

"Russian troops attacked civilian infrastructure in Shostka with strike drones - a sports school where children were training. It was a targeted strike on the place where the children were. The Russians sent two drones there," Hryhorov says.

According to him, all children and coaches were quickly evacuated to a safe place. Preliminary reports indicate that everyone is alive and no one was injured. The full consequences of the Russian attack are being clarified.

Also today, Russia carried out mortar shelling of the Seredyno-Budsk community.

A 76-year-old woman was wounded. She was hospitalized, and doctors are providing the necessary assistance.

Russian strikes on Ukraine

On the night of December 12, Russia attacked Ukraine with 80 strike drones. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 64 Russian drones.

In particular, Russians attacked Odesa and the Odesa region with drones. The energy sector was hit, buildings were damaged, and fires broke out.

The Russians also attacked Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result, five residential buildings burned down, and one person was killed.

In addition, Russian troops attacked one of Ukraine's coal mines with strike drones during the night, wounding 2 people.

Russia struck a DTEK substation in the Odesa region and another energy company's facility with drones.

On the night of December 11, Russia attacked Ukraine with strike drones and ballistic missiles. Ukrainian defenders destroyed most of Russia's drones and missiles.

In particular, Russians attacked energy facilities in the Kremenchuk district of the Poltava region. Fires broke out.
