Earlier, on August 26, Russian troops struck a mine belonging to the DTEK energy company. One employee was killed, while three others were injured as a result of the attack.

On the same day, the enemy attacked a number of settlements near Dobropillia. As a result, some of the local mines were left without power, and hundreds of miners were trapped underground. They were successfully evacuated to the surface.

Eight mines were left without power due to the Russian strike in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Nearly 2,600 miners remained underground, and efforts to bring them to the surface were ongoing.
