Russian strike cuts power to Donetsk mines, 148 miners trapped underground

Today, Russian forces shelled several settlements in the Dobropillia community of the Donetsk region. As a result of the strikes, part of the local mines lost power, Mykhailo Volynets, Chairman of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine, and the local Telegram channel Dobropillia info report.
Due to the attack, mines were de-energized, leaving 148 miners trapped underground.
According to local residents, the settlements of Dobropillia, Bilozerske, Hannivka, Iverske, and Sviatohorivka came under fire.
Local Telegram channels reported that the city of Dobropillia was attacked, preliminarily, with four aerial bombs.
The shelling caused power outages across the community.
Russian strike on Dobropillia
On Wednesday evening, July 16, Russian forces carried out an airstrike on Dobropillia, the Donetsk region. The enemy targeted a crowded area; casualties and a large number of wounded have already been confirmed.
On July 9, Russia also conducted its first massive FPV drone attack on Dobropillia, striking the city center. The strike caused destruction.
