On the night of March 26, Russians launched another drone attack on the southern part of the Odesa region. Ports and energy infrastructure were targeted, resulting in fires and power outages in the region, according to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

Russian nighttime attack caused damage to the port, energy, and industrial infrastructure. One person was injured.

"There is damage on the premises of industrial facilities, and some equipment has been damaged. Fires broke out at the sites, which were quickly extinguished by emergency responders," the Regional Military Administration reports.

Due to the Russian attack, power outages are being reported in some settlements. Critical infrastructure has been switched to backup power sources, and restoration work is ongoing.

The Izmail District State Administration clarified that the district’s port and energy infrastructure were targeted. Damage was reported in Izmail and the Vylkove community.

Meanwhile, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine revealed footage of the aftermath of the Russian attack.

Russian strikes on Odesa region

Russia is systematically striking ports and energy facilities in the Odesa region.

On the night of March 22, Russia struck the suburbs of Odesa with Shahed drones. Residential buildings and port infrastructure came under Russian fire. Falling debris damaged roofs and shattered windows in two private homes.

Before that, Russian forces struck two ports in the Odesa region, killing two people and injuring five others.

Earlier, Russia attempted to cut off electricity and heat to the Odesa region by striking the region’s energy infrastructure.

Russian strikes caused significant damage and large-scale fires, footage of which was released by rescue workers.
