Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated that Ukraine needs to be defined, because right now "we do not even know what or where Ukraine is." In response, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine published a description of the country and its coordinates, provided by the Grok chatbot.

"First, we urgently need a ceasefire and peace. Then we must define Ukraine - its borders, its population. As of right now, we do not even know what or where Ukraine is," said the Hungarian Prime Minister.

According to him, once peace and clarity are restored, "we can make lasting agreements with Russia and lay the foundations for a strategic partnership with Ukraine - one that protects our sovereignty, while securing Europe's future."

In response, the spokesperson of Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs decided to help Orbán locate the country and posted a reply from Elon Musk's chatbot Grok, including Ukraine's coordinates and basic information, on the social platform X.

Hungary blocks Ukraine's EU accession talks

Ukraine has still not been able to officially begin negotiations on joining the European Union, despite the EU member states approving the decision back in late 2023.

The launch of the negotiation process is currently being blocked by Hungary. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán even initiated a public survey among Hungarian citizens regarding Ukraine's potential accession to the EU.

Despite this, Ukraine maintains a clear goal — to fully meet the criteria for EU membership by 2027. According to former Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Olha Stefanishyna, Ukraine is sticking to the established timeline and continues to move toward membership.

She recently emphasized that all negotiation clusters for Ukraine's EU accession should be opened by the end of 2025.
