Ukraine strikes Russian Bastion system in Crimea used to launch Zircon and Onyx missiles

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, special forces from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) struck a missile system that Russia uses to launch ballistic missiles against Ukraine.
Strike on Bastion
In August 2026, fighters from the Group 13 special forces unit carried out an operation in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The target was the Russian Bastion coastal missile system.
This system is capable of launching Zircon and Onyx missiles. Russia uses these missiles to carry out terrorist strikes against Ukrainian cities.

In addition to the missile system, Group 13 operators disabled:
- 2 Russian fuel tankers
- Russian military command and staff vehicle.
All of this took place on the peninsula.
On the night of September 4, drones attacked an air defense division near Sochi. According to preliminary reports, a fire broke out near the village of Sirius on the border with Abkhazia, where a Russian S-300 or S-400 anti-aircraft missile system is located.
Recently, the Ukrainian Navy struck the Russian support vessel NEFRIT in the port of Sochi. The Ukrainian military used an unmanned surface vessel to carry out the attack; according to the Navy, the vessel in question was being used to service Russian oil, gas, and offshore facilities.
