Drones strike Russian air defense system near Sochi, detonations heard

On the night of September 4, drones attacked an air defense division near Sochi. Preliminarily, a fire broke out near the village of Sirius on the border with Abkhazia, according to the ASTRA Telegram channel.
What is known about attack
Residents of Sochi reported numerous explosions during the night, as well as a fire that broke out after the strike.
According to an analysis of eyewitness photos by ASTRA, the fire broke out in the Sirius area near the Psou River, where a Russian S-300 or S-400 anti-aircraft missile system is located.
Not the first attempt at attack
Attempts have been made to attack this same area before—in May of this year. According to local media, a large radar system was installed nearby, on the Wings of the Baltic beach, right on the shore.

"We'd rather not sunbathe under that equipment; besides, it spins and makes a lot of noise," says a resident. The Sirius area has repeatedly been the target of drone attacks.
RBC-Ukraine reported on the Ukrainian Defense Forces' strikes against targets in Sochi the day before as well. That same week, the Ukrainian Navy struck the Russian support vessel NEFRIT in the port of Sochi with an unmanned surface vessel for the attack.
And on the night of September 3 in Sevastopol, Ukrainian Defense Forces units struck the Russian landing craft BK-16. Details regarding the extent of the damage were still being clarified at the time.
