Attack on Odesa: Number of casualties increased, Emergency Service clarified consequences

In Odesa, according to updated information, 15 people have been reported injured as a result of a Russian drone strike on the evening of the previous day. The number of fatalities remains unchanged at two, reports the State Emergency Service (SES).
Rescuers reported that as a result of the massive drone attack by Russian forces in the city, residential high-rises, private homes, a supermarket, a school, and passenger cars were damaged.
"Unfortunately, two people have died, and according to preliminary information, another 15 people have been injured," the service stated.
The State Emergency Service (SES) also reported that fires broke out at the impact sites, which were quickly extinguished by firefighters, in collaboration with volunteers and the National Guard.
"In one of the high-rise buildings, rescuers, along with response services, evacuated over 200 people," the emergency services stated.
Additionally, the SES released footage online showing the aftermath of the enemy airstrike on Odesa.
Rescuers added that psychologists from the SES and the National Police were working at the scene.
Massive drone strike on Odesa
As previously reported, late in the evening on April 30, explosions were heard in Odesa amid an intense enemy airstrike using strike drones.
It was later revealed that the shelling resulted in significant damage to civilian infrastructure in Odesa, and fires broke out. The Regional Military Administration reported at the time that there was many damages to civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings.
Subsequently, the Regional Military Administration informed that as a result of the drone attack, two people were killed, and five others were injured. Additionally, high-rise buildings, a supermarket, and a school were damaged in the shelling.
