Ukraine received a new batch of military aid from Lithuania on Wednesday, August 28, according to the press service of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.

According to the Ministry, Lithuania has transferred loaders, anti-drone systems and folding beds to Ukrainian troops.

In response to Ukraine's requests, Lithuania has already transferred:

  • 155-mm shells;
  • M577 armored personnel carriers;
  • M113 armored personnel carriers;
  • anti-drone systems;
  • winter equipment and warm clothing sets;
  • ammunition for the Karl Gustav anti-tank grenade launcher;
  • RISE-1 remote detonation systems;
  • generators;
  • disassembled parts of the L-39ZA Albatross light attack aircraft;
  • loaders
  • trailers
  • folding beds;
  • other auxiliary equipment.

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with military assistance worth more than 647 million euros. Lithuania's overall support for Ukraine is long-term and has exceeded EUR 1 billion.

Lithuania's assistance to Ukraine

Lithuania has recently announced a “robust” military aid package for Ukraine, which will include, among other things, short-range air defense systems, armored personnel carriers, and anti-drone weapons.

Recently, Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė said that Lithuania plans to transfer more than 5,000 drones to Ukraine by the end of the fall.

Also in June, Lithuania transferred 14 M113 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine as part of a coalition to help with demining.

In April, Lithuania sent M577 armored personnel carriers, air defense systems, ammunition, and other military equipment and ammunition.
