Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov did not confirm information about a joint peace plan with the US to end the war in Ukraine.
Putin's press secretary was asked whether he could confirm the existence of a joint US-Russia plan to end the war in Ukraine, consisting of 28 points.
"No, all I can say about this story is what we have already said many times. We have nothing new to add to what was said in Anchorage. We have no new information in this case," Peskov said.
Peace plan for Ukraine
On November 19, media reports emerged that American and Russian officials had prepared a peace plan to end Russia's war against Ukraine.
It allegedly consists of 28 points and provides for the fulfillment of the Kremlin's maximalist demands, in particular, Ukraine's renunciation of part of its territory and certain types of weapons, and a reduction in the size of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The proposals were developed without Ukraine's participation. They plan to present Ukraine with a fait accompli — the initiative is to be presented in Kyiv by an American delegation on November 20.
Today, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed the development of a peace plan.
Meanwhile, media outlets reported that US President Donald Trump has already approved the peace plan for Ukraine.
At the same time, European countries have spoken out against the new US peace plan, which is likely to require Kyiv to cede more territory and partially disarm.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas said that any plan to end Russia's war against Ukraine must involve Ukrainians and Europeans.
