US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirms that potential ideas are being developed to end Russia's war against Ukraine.

According to Rubio, to stop Russia's war against Ukraine, a broad exchange of serious and realistic ideas is necessary.

At the same time, he stresses that lasting peace can only be achieved if both sides agree to make concessions.

"And achieving a durable peace will require both sides to agree to difficult but necessary concessions. That is why we are and will continue to develop a list of potential ideas for ending this war based on input from both sides of this conflict," the US Secretary of State says.

US peace plan

American officials are secretly consulting with Russian officials to develop a new peace plan for Ukraine.

The plan is said to consist of 28 points. It provides for the fulfillment of the Kremlin's maximalist demands, in particular, Ukraine's renunciation of part of its territory and certain types of weapons, and a reduction in the size of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At the same time, Western media reported that the proposals were developed without Ukraine's participation. They plan to present Ukraine with a fait accompli — the initiative is to be presented in Kyiv by an American delegation on November 20.

Financial Times journalist Christopher Miller wrote that Ukraine had received an urgent proposal from Russian dictator Kirill Dmitriev's envoy and US President Steve Witkoff's special representative. It was handed over to the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov. Such a proposal is effectively tantamount to Ukraine's surrender.
