Ukraine carried out a record number of air strikes in June against facilities of Russia's military-industrial complex. The main targets were factories producing missiles, electronics, and ammunition, according to Agentstvo. Novosti.

Volgograd strike aftermath

The latest known target was the Titan-Barrikady plant in Volgograd, which was attacked on Saturday, June 27.

Local authorities did not officially name the facility, but Governor Andrey Bocharov reported damage to production sites.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the plant using new FP-5 Flamingo missiles. OSINT analysis also supports reports of damage to the site.

The plant is considered critically important to the Kremlin, as it produces and assembles launch systems for the strategic complexes Yars, Topol-M, and Sarmat, the operational-tactical system Iskander-M, and components for Russia's newest missile system Oreshnik.

Which plants were hit in June

In total, at least 13 Russian military-industrial facilities were struck during the first month of summer. This is the highest figure in 2026.

Other targets included:

  • Missile and electronics production: The Progress plant in Michurinsk (controls for aviation and missiles) and VNIIR-Progress in Cheboksary (antennas for the Kalibr and Iskander missiles).
  • Ammunition production: the Elastik plant in the Ryazan region (aerial bombs and shells) and the Azot chemical plant in Novomoskovsk, which was struck twice due to its production of explosive components.
  • Shipbuilding: The Zaliv shipyard in occupied Crimea was hit by drones, damaging two military vessels.

Analysts note that such a large-scale campaign by Ukrainian forces is aimed not only at disrupting logistics to Crimea or creating fuel shortages, but also at systematically reducing Russia's overall military capabilities.

Strikes on Russian military targets and logistics

Recently, Ukraine has significantly increased the intensity of air attacks on the enemy military infrastructure. In particular, British intelligence has stated that Ukraine is weakening Crimea's air defenses even in areas that Russia considers high priority.

Successful June strikes on the Kerch Strait crossing destroyed air defense assets, fuel storage facilities, and three car ferries, further worsening supply problems on the peninsula and causing fuel shortages.

In addition, the Defense Forces are effectively destroying strategic targets deep in the enemy rear. The General Staff confirmed the destruction of the main antenna of the Vladimir Space Communications Center near Moscow as a result of an attack on the night of June 22.

A 25-meter parabolic antenna and the Orenburg gas processing plant were critically damaged, leaving Russians without key nodes of space communications.

This followed another large-scale Ukrainian operation, in which Ukraine struck nearly 20 Russian regions with drones in a single night.

On June 24, drone attacks hit areas from border regions to the Moscow region and occupied Crimea. The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed it intercepted more than 300 fixed-wing drones, while traditionally concealing the real scale of destruction at its facilities.
